The French braid

Hey!

So I figuered for my first hair tutorials, I'd show you the steps of 3 basic braids: the regular braid, the French braid (begins at the op of your head) and the Dutch braid (begins at the top of your head and looks 3d). These 3 braids are very handy to learn and are the basic steps you need to know to create more difficult braids! So pay attention haha ;). I'll be posting the 3 tutorials in seperate blogposts, this one will be the French braid. x.

The French braid
This braid is a little harder than the regular braid but after some practice it should be pretty easy ;)

Step 1.
Take a section of hair on top of the head. (The bigger section you take, the lower the braid will start.)

Step 2.
Separate the section to 3 even strands.

Stap 3.
Start the braid like a regular braid. Make a stitch by bringing the outest strand to the middle twice.

Stap 4.
Now, bring the outer strand to te middle but also take a new section of hair and put that together with the first section like on the picture. (The bigger new sections you take te less stitches you will get.)

Step 5.
And ofcourse do the same on the otherside.

Step 6.
Keep on doing this until all the hair is in the 3 strands.

Step 7.
From that point you just make a regular braid to finish.

Step 8.
Secur with an elastic and voila the braid is finished!

It might seem hard now, but I promise after some practice on your best friend or you mom you can do it with you eyes closed! ;) x

If you want to try something a little harder, try the Dutch braid. It's pretty much the same but a little harder! Click here to see my tutorial on the Dutch braid!

All the pictures are made by me with an iphone 5c, you can only use these pictures if you give the credits to me. This tutorial is done on Hilde's hair. Thanks guys :) xx
